Caroline is a passionate horticulturist and is the CEO & Fleet Farming Program Manager at IDEAS For Us. In this episode, we explore the concept of fleet farming and share inspiration for urban gardening.
Fleet Farming is a pedal-powered urban agriculture program that transforms lawns into farms. This is accomplished by converting underutilized lawn space into productive localized edible gardens or micro-farms.
This program works to provide edible landscaping to schools, community centers, affordable housing units, businesses, and individuals through a community farming initiative and Edible Landscape garden installation services. Their mission is to empower all generations to grow food to increase local food accessibility.
